Kanye West has become much more open about his political views in recent years.
His willingness to discuss his faith and his disagreement with mainstream liberal opinion has sparked controversy in the mainstream media and drawn criticism from those who think he should toe the woke cultural line.
One of the world’s most popular musicians also recently made headlines for wearing a “White Lives Matter” t-shirt to a fashion show.
It’s hard to imagine getting further away from acceptable cultural liberalism than calling Black Lives Matter a “scam.”
Now West is making even more news by appearing with the Left’s least favorite TV host, Tucker Carlson.
The entire interview is unmissable, but West made several comments that will no doubt make him even less popular with the mainstream media.
He explained to Carlson that “we are in a battle with the media” and that they have an “ungodly agenda”.
West is, of course, absolutely right that the media has an agenda and is in a battle with most of the country.
The media blackout over the Hunter Biden laptop story, which very likely could have swung the 2020 presidential election to Joe Biden, is just one example of how they protect their ideological allies .
Their promotion of the Russia collusion hoax is another, while their reluctance to condemn protests in private homes after the Roe v Wade leak and their promotion of abortion show how much they disregard religious values.
Kanye’s pro-life stance
Kanye also opened up about being pro-life to Tucker Carlson, saying he wears a lanyard with an ultrasound picture on it because he “represents life.”
West rightly said that he doesn’t care how people react to his abortion message, that he’s more concerned with abortion statistics.
Instead of being concerned about people’s responses, West said he was performing to “one audience, and that’s God.”
Support Trump
He also went into more detail about his support for former President Donald Trump and what it meant to him personally.
Unsurprisingly, Kanye came under attack for openly supporting Trump and warned that his safety could be compromised if he wore the ‘White Lives Matter’ t-shirt.
Hopefully those threats don’t actually materialize, but given the anger many on the left have towards differing opinions, it can’t be ruled out that he could legitimately be targeted.
For someone with his level of fame, speaking up for Trump, openly discussing faith and other unawakened positions is incredibly difficult.
As he mentions, his managers and advisers warned him against this, due to the immense pressure exerted by the media and those responsible for the liberal cultural hegemony to conform to their beliefs.
West’s public views take an incredible amount of bravery and courage and will hopefully serve as an example to other public figures that it’s more important to stand up for what you believe in than cower behind repetition. of everything everyone says.
