Ram temple in Ayodhya will be symbol of national pride: Yogi Adityanath

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said on Wednesday that the Ram Temple in Ayodhya would become a symbol of national pride. The construction of the Temple of Ram will be completed in 2023.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is the country’s first prime minister to travel to Ayodhya for Ram Lalla’s darshan, Yogi said, addressing public gatherings in Dwarka and Kutch districts of Gujarat.

The prime minister had laid the foundations for the Temple of Ram, the chief minister said. Once the construction of the temple is completed, the idol of Ram Lalla will be installed in the sanctum sanctorum, he said. Devotees across the country will be proud of the great Ram Temple, added Yogi Adityanath.

Yogi Adityanath also said that the construction of Kashi Vishwanath Dham has been completed in Varanasi.

“People are aware of the renovation of Mahakal temple in Ujjain, Kedarnath and Badrinath in Uttarakhand. Also in Gujarat, Somnath temple premises have been restored, Dwarkadish and Amba temples are being renovated This shows Prime Minister Modi’s determination to restore the symbols of faith in the country,” he said.

The connection between UP and Gujarat is centuries old, he said, adding that Lord Krishna was born in Mathura and when he came to Gujarat, people made him Dwarkadish.

“Gujarat is a land of inspiration for the whole country. The struggle for freedom was waged under the leadership of Mahatma Gandhi. After independence, Sardar Patel united the country by merging the princely states. When the politics of the country was going through anarchy and corruption was at its peak under the Congress government, Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi strove to take over the reins of the country. Today our country has become one of the largest economies in the world,” he said.

“When our country celebrates Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav, it became the fifth largest economy in the world, replacing the United Kingdom which ruled India for 200 years. India leads the G-20 under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Today India is heading for new heights of development. We are building a new India, the country’s border is secure. Terrorism, corruption and separatist forces are at an end. Section 370 was removed to bring Jammu and Kashmir into the national mainstream,” he said.

Yogi Adityanath also said, “This is the new image of the new India. Apart from honoring faith, Modi has been supporting people during the time of crisis. During the Covid-19 pandemic, the BJP government provided free testing, free treatment, free vaccine and free rations. The dual engine government is giving a double dose of rations to Gujarat.

He said if Congress had been in power, the people would not have gotten free tests, treatments, vaccines and rations.

The Congress government would never have abolished Article 370 or worked for the construction of Ram’s temple in Ayodhya, he added.

“Congress wouldn’t have done anything. It can neither work to establish the country’s prestige on international platforms, nor ensure the security of our borders, nor lead the country towards prosperity. Nor does she have the will to honor the faith of the people. So why should you vote for Congress? He asked.

He described the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) as the carbon copy of Congress.

“There is no difference between the two sides, daily new scams are discovered in Delhi. The nation’s capital has been ruined; the AAP government is gambling with the careers of the students. During the Covid-19 pandemic, the government AAP left the people stranded, they played with people’s lives, made false promises and caused anarchy,” he alleged.

“I urge the people to reject the Congress and the AAP in the assembly elections to bring the BJP back to power,” he told voters.
