Srinagar, Oct 30 (KNS): While hitting the neighboring country hard, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha said on Sunday, “Pakistan is inconsolable at the huge tourist footfall of J&K, and that is why its pawns do not neglect no effort to destabilize the pace of development in the region”.
The LG Sinha said that Jammu and Kashmir has witnessed major changes over the past few years which have led to the massive development of UT but few subversive elements and their managers and have yet to digest the changes.
“Neighboring Pakistan and its pawns have yet to digest the changes taking place at J&K. Pakistan is absolutely inconsolable at the huge influx of tourists that has boosted UT’s economy,” said the LG Sinha during a ceremony held here at SKICC.
He said militants and their masters are on a “deathbed” after police and security forces dismantle their ecosystem. They are still trying to take the lives of innocent people, including workers. They want to sabotage the pace of development that UT has been witnessing in recent years,” LG said.
The LG Sinha added that Jammu and Kashmir is witnessing gigantic changes due to which young people have rested their faith on the mainstream. He said the J&K had lost many lives in the past due to unrest caused by militants and their handlers sitting opposite.
“In turbulent times, only poor families lost their sons. Neither a politician nor a rich man’s son lost his life. They enjoyed their life abroad and went to higher education. Only the poor have suffered from the uncertain situation. Now the young people have rested their faith in the mainstream which has driven the pace of development to new heights,” he said.
While calling on the popular masses to come forward and help the police and administration in nation building, the LG Sinha said that “Vikas (development) is not possible in the absence of peace”, and added “Only the security forces and the administration cannot keep the peace, the people too must come forward and work hand in hand in nation building,” he said.
