It’s the awkward moment a winning racehorse owner celebrates with his ‘lucky’ bird poo – and then jokes he wasn’t going to wash it ‘for a few weeks’!
Jubilant Anwar Badri proved the old adage of bird droppings being lucky to be true as Fire Lake won at Newton Abbot on Monday.

The five-year-old child trained by Milton Harris easily won the handicap obstacle on 2m1f.
Backed in 11-8 favoritism, Fire Lake won by two lengths from Manor Park under a fine ride from Mitchell Bastyan.
Normally, winning owners pop champagne corks after pocketing a few thousand dollars for the win.
But Badri proudly showed off the bird poop that had fallen on his arm just before the start.
He said: “Just before the start of the race… I’m not going to wipe it for a few weeks.
“I don’t think I’ve heard of this before.

Sky Sports Racing host Hayley Moore was cracking up as she interviewed Badri after her big win.
Asking her about the poop on her arm and if it was the first time it had happened, she joked, “I can’t believe I said that.”
Badri, who is based in Dubai, is full of praise for Harris after grooming the horse for back-to-back wins.
He added: “He’s a top coach and you can’t believe how grateful I am to have bumped into him in town. He’s a believer and the compliments go out to the whole team. “
